From here, you’ll board a specially designed 4x4 Super Jeep for an exciting ride across the rugged landscape leading to Breiðamerkurjökull, an outlet glacier of Vatnajökull National Park. Along the way, your experienced guide will share insights about the area’s unique geology and glacial history, making the journey as fascinating as the destination.

Upon arrival, your guide will provide all the necessary glacier gear, including crampons, helmets, ice axes, and harnesses. After a detailed safety briefing, you’ll step onto the glacier and feel the crunch of centuries-old ice beneath your feet. Our "Iceguide" van, located in the Jökulsárlón main parking lot, is where you will meet us to get your equipment before the tour.

Departure times: 9:30 AM and 2:30 PM Meeting Point: Tröll.is Glacier Lagoon

We strongly recommend arriving at least 20 minutes before your scheduled departure. Please note that late arrivals cannot be guaranteed a spot on the tour and are non-refundable.

Note that the Driving time to Jökulsárlón from Reykjavík is around 5 hours and a half in good road conditions.
